Established in 2011, the Institute of Hotel Management & Culinary Studies (IHMCS), Jaipur, offers career-oriented education in hotel management, hospitality and culinary arts. Located in Mansarovar, Jaipur, the institute combines classroom learning with practical training to help students develop the skills required in the hospitality industry.
Our approach is simple: students should understand how the industry works, practise their skills and gain the confidence to take on professional responsibilities.
IHMCS offers programmes for students at different stages of their education and career journey. The course portfolio includes a Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management, Diploma in Hotel Management, Diploma in Food Production and a Master Programme in Hotel & Hospitality Management, along with short-term skill-based courses.
The programmes cover key areas of hospitality operations, including food production, front office operations, housekeeping management and food and beverage service. Students can also explore specialised training in culinary arts, bakery and confectionery, and other practical food skills.
Practical learning is an important part of the IHMCS experience. Students train in specialised kitchens, a bakery and confectionery lab, front office and housekeeping training facilities, and dedicated food and beverage service spaces.
Under the guidance of experienced faculty and culinary trainers, students practise cooking techniques, guest handling, service procedures and day-to-day hospitality operations. Industrial exposure, internships, skill-based workshops and interview preparation help students connect their classroom learning with workplace expectations.
IHMCS programmes are affiliated with Vishvakarma Skills University, a UGC-approved state government university and aligned with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
These academic and skill-based pathways are designed to help students build relevant knowledge and practical competencies for the hospitality sector.
A qualification in hotel management or culinary arts can open up career paths across hotels and resorts, restaurants, cruise lines, aviation hospitality, catering, events and other service-oriented businesses.
At IHMCS, students receive practical training and industry exposure to help prepare them for professional opportunities in India and internationally. Their career paths can vary according to their chosen programme, specialisation, skills and experience.
